Responsible Gambling
Realz Casino runs entertainment, not income. If gambling ever stops feeling like entertainment, the tools and contacts on this page exist to help you slow down, pause, or stop. None of them carry a fee. None of them require a long explanation to support — most can be activated by you from inside your own account.
This page also tells you, plainly, what we do on our side to encourage healthy play. We have no interest in keeping a player who is in over their head; the cost to us, in compliance and reputation, vastly outweighs the short-term revenue.
The Australian Context
Online gambling in Australia operates under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth) and is supervised by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). State and territory gambling regulators also play a role, particularly for promotional content and self-exclusion registers.
Two specific Australian protections we want you to know about:
BetStop is the National Self-Exclusion Register operated by ACMA. A registration on BetStop blocks gambling accounts across all Australian-licensed wagering operators. Realz Casino is offshore-licensed and is not currently part of the BetStop register; we honour BetStop registrations as a matter of policy, but the legal force of the register sits with AU-licensed operators.
The Privacy Act 1988 governs how your data is handled, including any self-exclusion records. Self-exclusion data is held for the statutory retention period and is never used for marketing.
Self-Assessment — Six Honest Questions
Before reaching for a tool, sit with these six questions. They are adapted from the recognised Lie/Bet and PGSI screening frameworks, simplified into plain language. If you find yourself answering yes to two or more, that's a signal worth taking seriously.
In the last month, have I spent more on gambling than I'd planned, more than once?
Have I chased a loss with a bigger bet, hoping to "get it back"?
Have I hidden the amount I've bet from a partner, family member, or close friend?
Have I bet money that was earmarked for rent, groceries, or bills?
Has gambling caused me to lose sleep more than two nights in the last fortnight?
Have I felt anxious, irritable, or restless when I tried to cut back?
These questions are not a diagnosis. They are a prompt. If you answer yes to several, talking to a counsellor at Gambling Help Online (details below) is a free, confidential next step.
The Five Tools Inside Your Account
All five sit under My Account → Responsible Gambling. None of them require a support agent to activate. Decreases take effect instantly. Increases require a 48-hour cooling-off period — there is no way to raise a limit on impulse.
1. Deposit Limit. Set a maximum amount you can deposit per day, per week, or per month. Once you hit it, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets.
2. Loss Limit. Set a maximum net loss across the same daily, weekly, or monthly window. When you hit it, you can still see your account but cannot place wagers until reset.
3. Session Limit. Set a maximum time you can spend logged in per session — common settings are 60, 90, or 120 minutes. The system logs you out automatically when the limit is reached.
4. Time-Out. Lock yourself out for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days. During a time-out, you cannot log in, deposit, wager, or claim bonuses. Withdrawals of existing balance are processed normally. There is no early reversal — once set, a time-out runs its full course.
5. Self-Exclusion. A formal, longer-term lock. Minimum six months, maximum permanent. Self-exclusion closes your account, refunds any withdrawable balance, and prevents new accounts being opened in your name from the same identification details. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the minimum period ends. Permanent self-exclusion is irreversible.
When you self-exclude, your name is added to our internal exclusion register, which we also cross-check against requests we receive from BetStop participants.

Protecting Minors
Gambling is restricted to those aged 18 or over. Realz verifies the age of every account at sign-up and again before the first withdrawal. We will not knowingly accept a player under 18; if you discover an underage person has accessed our service through your device, we recommend installing GamBlock or Net Nanny and contacting our support team for an immediate account closure.
If you share a device, we recommend logging out fully after each session, not just closing the tab, and disabling browser auto-fill for our domain.
What We Do on Our Side
We monitor patterns of play that are statistically associated with harm — sudden increases in deposit frequency, chasing losses across long sessions, deposits at unusual hours after large losses. Where we see those patterns, we may pause an account, send a check-in email, or restrict deposits until we've spoken with the player. We err on the side of intervening early. If we have intervened with you and you disagree with the decision, the contact path is on our Contact and Support page.
